Why EthanolTechnik ?
Go E85, but do it the save way, with the right conversion kit.
Although the technical knowledge to perform an E85 vehicle conversion is not as complex than an advanced natural gas conversion, the result of every E85 engine conversion depends very much on the design of the box's circuit board, micro processor and functionality of its software package.
A simple electronic box from Far East, purchased on ebay, that claims to be able to perform everything at the very lowest price, may not serve your needs at all or even harm your engine, if worse comes to worse. Consequently, you will not find these DIY budget boxes in a professional garage.
EthanolTechnik has developed its own OBD2 compliant hard- and software according to automotive quality and safety standards, making sure that the control performs well on almost every engine old or new, over many years in service.

You don't wanna see this on your dash board!
Our safety concept for example requires a fully redundant micro processor and transistor for every cylinder. If over the years one processor should suddenly die, the engine will continue to work (with one cylinder less) and the driver will make it to the garage without any damage to the engine.
As the more simple boxes often feature just one processor for cost reason, they will stop the engine immediately which can put the driver in a risky situation as engine dependent systems like power steering and hydraulic brakes(!) will fail too without prior notice.
The sensitive circuit boards of our controllers are completely coated by special plastics, designed to give high endurance for the electrical components.
Due to the high manufacturing quality of the controller and the OEM like wiring harness featuring water proof connectors, it is no surprise that EthanolTechnik controls have a very high life span.
Contrary to traditional ethanol conversion kits from the early days of ethanol engine conversion, our kits have already a wiring harnesses that is connected by a standard interface with the controller. Thus it is ensured that you can re-use the controller again in your next car, provided it hasn’t got more cylinders than the previous one.
If changing your vehicle after some years, you may just need a different wiring harness for your new car, while re-using the controller. The controller can be reused, if the number of cylinders is the same, or less.
At EthanolTechnik we design controls for people that depend on safe and economic driving every day. Hence, we offer kits that are guaranteed to work safe and that are easy to operate also by non-technicians.
